It’s an incredible wet day, so you know the balls are holding on our greens, the problem is the fairways are holding just as much, if you can even find your ball. The course is closed, as it is unplayable, as well as the driving range.
The weather forecast doesn’t seem to be improving tomorrow either, so the Lady Niners have canceled their shotgun. Try to stay dry and we’ll see what tomorrow brings.
category All, Frost Delay
Due to the weather and standing water on the greens, the golf course will be closed today.
The driving range is closed.
The golf shop will be open until noon. Come by and sign up for the MGC 2 man Best Ball.
Now this is a hole you’ll need to carry the water, the rocks, and a few fish too.
The February 3rd Super Bowl Golf tournament has been postponed until the following Sunday the 10th. The shotgun will begin at 10am. There is still openings for teams, registration forms for 4 person scramble teams in shop.
Tuesday- 1/29
The range is open. The course is open, 45 degree angle while driving carts on fairways, please be careful to avoid wet spots.
Sunday- 1/27/19
Happy Sunny day! Another picture perfect day, but after a thorough course inspection it has been decided to continue with cart paths only. The range is open with warm up buckets, or extra large practice portions.
The Course is Open Today Cart Path Only.
The Range is Closed.
Friday- 1/25/19
Another picture perfect day, but after a thorough course inspection it has been decided to continue with cartpaths only. Number 10 for example, is saturated from the Oak tree to 10 yards from the green. The range is still closed, as most balls from the center line left 40 yards to 250 are plugging, making it impossible to retrieve. If you want to hit, and donate some of your own balls be our guests.
Today is Thursday the 24th of January, the Sun is beaming over a majority of the holes, however due to a cool frost sweeping the landscape there is a 30 minute delay. The shotgun will begin at 10:30 a.m. and players are still required to stay on cart paths, as the fairways are saturated with down-hill drainage. Unfortunately, the driving range is closed with the same drainage problems. With a bright forecast and drying conditions it won’t be long before our course will be back to its’ old dry self, drives running an extra 50 yards, and balls bouncing off the right side of number 2 onto the green.
